How We Evaluate Software
Our guides are research-based. Unless a page says otherwise, we did not run hands-on tests of the products, and we don't score output quality.
What we look at
- Use-case fit: the team and job a tool suits best.
- Real cost: list price plus the seats, projects, keywords or credits a team actually needs.
- Limits: the caps you reach first, and what they cost to raise.
- Skip-it-if: the honest reasons a tool may be wrong for you.
How picks are made
Picks are editorial judgments based on the published facts on the page. A pick means a good match for a stated need, not a universal winner.
